Often a number of ideas need to be developed - whether to allow you to explore options or because you want to have some variants to put to the planners or discuss with your local council.
Once an idea has been agreed, it may need to be submitted to the Local Authority for their comment and, hopefully, approval. During this process the plans may require alterations and it pays to keep a dialogue with the local planning officer, to try to gauge whether they view your application favourably.
